Brazil + Scotland - São Paulo Tràigh Mhòr

Brazil + Scotland - São Paulo Tràigh Mhòr is a musical collaboration project between artists from Brazil and Scotland, developed in partnership with the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow and Amigos da Arte in São Paulo.

The initiative brings together musicians from both countries in a collective creation process that combines distinct musical traditions — from Brazilian music to the roots of Scottish folk — resulting in an original repertoire and performances conceived specifically for the event.

The project is structured in two main stages:

  • Residency and debut in Scotland , during the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, including a period of rehearsals and a public performance;

  • Presentation in Brazil , in the second half of 2026, as part of the Amigos da Arte program, in activities associated with Revelando SP.

More than a one-off exchange, the project proposes a space for listening and experimentation between musical languages, creating connections between repertoires, traditions, and forms of creation.

The project brings together musicians with established careers in Brazilian music and the contemporary Scottish scene:
