“Natureza Universal” is a compendium of Hermeto’s works forBig Band, some arrangements composed more than 30 years ago, and others more recent, such as the opening song of the album called “Obrigado Mestre”, composed on January 1, 2000, which he says is a “tribute to the second millennium”.
 
With incredible energy, at the height of his 81 years, Hermeto made the musical direction of the recording. “Each project is unique to me, I take care of it as if it were a child, just like the shows, everything I do has the same importance”, says Hermeto, who also played several instruments on the album, from the piano, in the moving introduction to song “Menina Ilza”, a tribute to his wife, even a horn, a glass of water and a kettle. “This record shows above all my composer and arranger side, theBig Bandthere are already great musicians playing everything, I just want to put some different colors”,complete.
